The central function of the information system is to support the organization, execution, and monitoring of work carried out by a large number of performers and work groups, handling a wide range of tasks of different types.
asw:optimus consists of three applications:
- Central Web Application – a multi-module application, with key modules for system administration and configuration, reporting, and dispatcher operations.
- Mobile Web Application – an application designed to support field staff, available only in online mode and optimized for mobile devices (phones, tablets).
- Mobile Android Application – an application designed to support field staff, available in both online and offline modes and optimized for mobile Android devices (phones, tablets).
asw:optimus enables:
- Planning and scheduling work orders through efficient mechanisms for recording, classifying, and reallocating tasks.
- Support in task execution through focused functions that provide transparency, field data collection, and real-time event signaling.
- Execution monitoring through automated notifications and deviation tracking, allowing dispatchers to respond promptly and optimize resources.
Key system features:
- Automatic real-time insight into field changes.
- Notification mechanism for task adjustment and reallocation.
- Transparent execution monitoring with signaling of status changes, delays, or inability to complete tasks.
Core system entities include:
- Task (Work Order) – Represents a unit of work to be performed. Synonyms used for “task” include: work order, job, assignment.
- Resource (Performer) – Represents an individual, work group, team, or company capable of performing a certain type of job and to whom tasks (work orders) may be assigned.
- Work Group (Team) – A collection of resources (performers), either temporary or long-term. From a scheduling perspective, a work group represents a composite resource to which tasks can be assigned. Individual performers, while part of the group, are considered engaged in the group’s assigned tasks.
asw:optimus is characterized by simple system administration and configuration, an intuitive and modern graphical user interface, scalability, high availability, and a flexible mechanism for configurable integration with external systems via web services.
